“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.” Thich Nhat Hanh
About Me
I believe therapy is a collaborative process of becoming more curious about ourselves—how we relate to our thoughts, emotions, bodies, other people, and the world around us. I pay attention not only to what happens in our conversations, but also to the patterns that emerge in the therapy room and how those patterns may reflect experiences in your life outside of therapy.
My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps us notice difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to dictate our lives, clarify what matters most to you, and take meaningful action toward the life you want to live. I also draw from my training in behaviorism, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD.
I incorporate mindfulness and nature-informed practices when they support your goals and clinical needs. For me, nature offers another context for practicing presence, acceptance, perspective, and connection in an ever-changing world.
My role is not to tell you what path to take, but to accompany you as you explore what matters, understand the patterns that may be getting in your way, and discover new ways of moving forward.
